In a post on his official Instagram page a couple of minutes ago, Yomi Fabiyi explained that he was never a member of TAMPAN from the beginning, which means the letter suspending him is inappropriate or invalid to him as a filmmaker.

According to him, he was originally a member of the Association of Nigeria Theatre Practitioners (ANTP), and he will consider renewing his membership there.

He went on to claim that he did not obtain or sign any TAMPAN form, nor did he joined any other GUILD. He was only made to pay a registration that did not follow the normal procedures, according to him.

To end his statement, Yomi Fabiyi promised to give other necessary reactions in due time and possibly seek legal redress if his human rights are violated.
