In the spirit of festivity and celebration, Actor Lateef Adedimeji took to his Instagram page to pray and ask God for blessings and full grace for himself and other Muslims Brethren who will be celebrating Eid-Kabir today. The Actor gave detailed thoughts on the purpose of the Sallah celebration and he made sure that he takes his moment beyond celebration but to give thanks to God for sparing his life and that of his fellow Muslims.
Lateef reasoned beyond the blessings that can be derived from Eid-Kabir celebration and because he understands that God hates sin, he asked God to forgive him of his sins and prayed for mercy to do the right things before God(Allah). He eulogised the great qualities of God as a forgiver, and a Giver who gives without restriction. He prayed to God for a favour that will sustain him and others in this World and the one to come(Heaven).
His prayers were not for himself alone but he made use of words that captures more than single numbers. Eid-kabir celebration to some people is a period of merriment and killing of Rams but for devoted Muslims, they understand that it is a period of full sacrifice and commitment to the almighty God who gave Ibrahim the chance to substitute a Ram for his Son(Ishmael) as an option for a Sacrifice to Him. Lateef understands the necessity of forgiveness from God and he asked him to cleanse his sins and make necessary provisions for him and his fellow Muslims.
Lateef’s demand for a favour is also a necessity for every human. God’s favour is very important and it can take one to where he/she is not even expecting. We wish all Muslims a happy Sallah and pray that this day brings a lot of Blessings to them and their Family.
