King Of Fuji Music, K1 Set To Become A Hotelier

No doubt, the undisputed King of Fuji music, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe Marshal better known as K1, is a forward thinking artiste. Because, beyond music, he has been setting up a chain of businesses to fall back on should he decide to quit music some day. Besides, he is not even looking like one who would be leaving what he knows how to do best, which is singing, in years to come. But yet, he has been diversifying into other things. So, it is no longer news that the Mayegun of Yoruba Land is into animal husbandry as he owns one of the biggest ranches in the South-West where he is a rearing herds of cattle.

Those who have visited K1’s palatial home in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, known as “Ojusagbola Villa” would attest to the fact that he is always ready to show his guests around his ranch, unless they don’t have enough time for the sightseeing. And that is not all K1 does outside music. K1 is also a baker as owns a bakery, Anjola Bakery, which is reportedly being run by some of his children. And he has been seen in a couple of videos which emerged on the social media packing some loaves of bread for guests who visited him at home as take-away. He would surely want them to have the taste of bread which is baked the K1 way.

And it has also been established that he has some other forms of food based businesses in Lagos. But going by a revelation in an Instagram Live interview conducted recently with K1 at his house by a popular journalist, Biola Orisile of Biola Orisile Events And Parties, the King of Fuji music is about to add a big line of business to his emerging conglomerate. And what is that? You must be wondering. K1 is also set to become a hotelier. As established in the Instagram Live interview that lasted for about 20 minutes, K1’s hotel which is being built in Ijebu-Ode is 90% completed, and it promise to be one of the biggest hotels in town at completion.

Perhaps, K1 is taking a cue from one of his close associates, the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo who runs a hotel in Oshodi, Lagos State, known as Akima Hotel. And the Deputy Treasurer of the NURTW in Lagos, Alhaji Ganiu Ayinde Oyedepo better known as Koko Zaria too, who runs a hotel in Ikotun, Lagos State, known as Zagaza Hotel. In any case, K1 going into a hotel business is obviously a good idea, because as a big artiste that he is, he has more than enough social clout to draw top socialites who frequently visit Ijebu-Ode for one party or the other, to patronize his hotel. That is a ready made market for him.

And possibly too, he might also be holding different kinds of shows by himself which would draw many of his big fans from different locations in the country to his hotel, to listen to K1’s music and have other kinds of fun. That is not out of the equation too. So, the idea of his setting up a hotel, is well though-out. And being a personality who has a high standard, and well exposed, it remained to be seen if any hotel would beat K1’s hotel to being the most exquisite hotel in Ijebu-Ode, when completed.
