Having completed both his primary and secondary school education, the 64-year-old actor then proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Osun State for his tertiary education.
Akin Lewis got a scholarship to do his Masters in Dramatic Arts at the University in Sophia, Bulgaria.
Akin Lewis who developed an interest in acting at the age of 12 joined the entertainment industry fully in the early 80s. He took after his father’s profession. As a new actor in the industry, Akin Lewis was featured in minor roles before he finally got promoted into supporting roles.
