Nollywood actress and movie producer, Funke Akindele has been left speechless as people with disabilities proudly showed support for her movie, Battle on Buka Streets.

An emotional Funke penned an appreciation note to Bethesda school, a home for the blind for going all out to support her.

The school had treated 3 person with disability to Film house cinema to watch Battle on Buka Street.

Expressing her gratitude, Funke revealed that the video brought her to tears and left her speechless.

Reposting the video, Funke Akindele wrote,

“Dear Lord, who am I that you are mindful of?

Wow!!!! I’m speechless. This is huge!! Thank you @bethesda_scho for going out to support me you don’t know how much this means to me. I’m literally in tears!! Thank you so much for the love. Announcing the feat on her Instagram page, Funke Akindele appreciated her fans for coming through for her and storming the different cinema houses to see Battle on Buka street.

“Buka on Battle street hits N135 million, the biggest single day for a Nollywood film in 2022 – 26m on 25/12/2022. Thank you, everyone!!! Work hard! Pray hard! Stay positive!!! Iyanu ma sele!!”.

Funke Akindele reveals how Sola Sobowale helped her career

Nollygistvibes reported that Funke Akindele had opened up on the pivotal role veteran, Sola Sobowale played in her career.

While celebrating Sola Sobowale’s 59th birthday, Funke Akindele shared her first encounter with the veteran actress. She recounted how she met Sola Sobowale on a film set and walked up to her to reveal her desire to her.

Funke told the thespian that she wished to work with her on a project as a producer or director and Sola prayed for her dream to become reality.

Today her dream became reality as, Sola Sobowale played the role of her mother in her newly released movie, Battle on Buka Streets, which she produced and directed.

“I’ve known My Darling Aunty Sola Sobowale for years.

Quick Story, when I was still trying to find my feet in the movie industry. I met Aunty Sola on a film set. I walked up to her and told her that someday I pray and wish to work with her on a project as a Producer or a Director. She wished me well and prayed for me. She told me that day would come to pass and it surely did. Just as you said Aunty, you worked with me on Battle on Buka Street and it’s a hit!!!
